About Esther Pelleg
Esther Pelleg is a singer, songwriter and storyteller with heart.
In her music she combines jazzy pop with world music elements such as samba, funk and reggae and touches with poetic ballads.
Her warm voice and profound lyrics create closeness – between stage and audience, between people, between worlds.
"With my music I want to build bridges - to myself and from person to person."
Artistic CV (long)
Music has been with me for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, I discovered my passion for the stage and developed it into an artistic journey that continues to this day. With my music, I want to touch people, build bridges, and tell stories. Since my youth, the stage has been a part of my life, just as breathing is a part of music. In my songs, I combine jazzy pop with world music and invite my audience to embark on a journey full of emotions and encounters. Stage Experience At the age of 14, I first led a gospel choir. Shortly thereafter, annual Christmas concerts in front of up to 400 listeners followed, as did major performances at the Choir Festival at the Wilhelmshaven Cultural Center. Since then, I have performed in over 1,000 concerts and gained experience on a wide variety of stages – as a soloist, in duos, trios, and in formations such as the "Klangschwestern" (German pop) and the jazz trio Corcomoon. My Own Repertoire Since 2021, I have been presenting my own repertoire – a mixture of lively rhythms and profound ballads. My performances have taken me to venues including the Kellertheater Frankfurt, the YiXue Art Festival Berlin, and the "Poesie im Park" festival in Wiesbaden. Other venues have included the Kulturküche Karlsruhe, the Denkbar Frankfurt, and the Afrikafest Karlsruhe. Education and Training My musical development has been influenced by my studies in music and Protestant religion at the University of Oldenburg, as well as by stays abroad in Ghana (drumming and dance) and Israel. Ongoing training, such as the "Raketerei" program for female musicians and "Voiceation" coaching, accompany my artistic development. Instruments and Vision In addition to singing, I play the piano, guitar, and African drums. My goal is to build bridges through music – between people, cultures, and hearts. Performances (selection) - Captain's Inn (2025) - Kellertheater Frankfurt (2024) - "Poesie im Park" Festival Wiesbaden (2020–2022) - YiXue Art Festival Berlin - Kulturküche Karlsruhe - Afrikafest Karlsruhe - Denkbar Frankfurt - Café Hier und Jetzt, Wiesbaden
